The MSDS Residential program begins in August with one annual application cycle. Choose from three application options: Priority Decision, Regular Decision, and Rolling Decision. Applications for Fall 2027 open on Aug. 15, 2026.
International applicants who require an F-1 visa are encouraged to apply during either the Priority Decision or Regular Decision round.

Priority Decision is intended for applicants seeking consideration for early admission and need-based fellowships from the School of Data Science. Applicants interested in the application-based concentrations in Sports Data Science or Genomics are also encouraged to apply during the Priority round.
Regular Decision is the second admissions round and includes a re-review of applicants who were Deferred to Regular Decision from the Priority Decision process. This option may be appropriate for those considering multiple programs and seeking additional time to evaluate their choices.
Rolling admissions runs from March 2 to June 15, with decisions released on a space-available basis through the end of June.
Waitlist offers are made on a space-available basis in May, June, and July. Note that waitlist offers may not request a deferral. The waitlist closes on Aug. 1.
All application deadlines close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.
