Join Dr. Brian Wright for a discussion of the emergence of data science as a nascent but highly influential academic discipline and what we can potentially expect from this rapidly emerging field.

This will include a brief history followed by reflections on his experience building George Washington University's data science ecosystem over the last four years with recommendations on best practices for data science education. The discussion will conclude with thoughts on what the data science academic landscape could look like moving forward.
