The School of Data Science is proud to present a recurring forum for seminars, presentations, and discussions on data science topics. Data science is the study of data, the methods used to learn from data, and the impact of data and analytics on society and science. In addition to our commitment to pursuing data science methodology, the school has a keen interest in how access to data and data science methods are shaping society. Speakers are invited from national and international universities, the regional community, industry, and government. The UVA Data Science Symposium is an opportunity for faculty, students, staff, and visitors to explore new ideas in data science and their potential impact. Symposium talks, offered both in-person and virtually, are open to the broader University community and the public at large.
