Ken Ono Elected Honorary Fellow by Indian Academy of Sciences

The University of Virginia's School of Data Science is pleased to announce that Ken Ono, a professor of data science by courtesy, has been elected an honorary fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences. 

Ono, who is also the Marvin Rosenblum Professor of Mathematics and serves as STEM advisor to the provost, joins an exclusive group at the academy of only 48 living honorary fellows across all STEM fields. 

Founded in 1934, the Indian Academy of Sciences aims to promote progress in in both pure and applied branches of sciences. 

Ono, who joined the UVA faculty in 2019, has received numerous honors and accolades over a three-decade career in mathematics and higher education.
