Ken Ono Named to Asian American Scholar Forum
The University of Virginia's School of Data Science is pleased to announce that Ken Ono, a professor of data science by courtesy with the school, has been tapped to join the Asian American Scholar Forum.
The forum is a nonprofit organization that advocates on behalf of Asian-American scholars and is guided by a commitment to values like diversity, inclusion, academic freedom, and open science. It includes among its members past and current university presidents, deans, and prominent scholars who are members of such organizations as the National Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Engineering.
In addition to his work with the School of Data Science, Ono is the STEM advisor to the University's provost and the Marvin Rosenblum Professor of Mathematics.
