For Karolina Naranjo-Velasco (MSDS ‘22), her decision to pursue an M.S. in Data Science was motivated by social justice. Velasco earned her law degree and practiced in Columbia, advocating for human rights. Through this experience, she realized the importance of quantitative methods to drive social change, which led her to data science.
