Why pursue a Ph.D. in Data Science?

My pursuit of a doctorate was inspired by my years in industry working as a data scientist introducing ML solutions to a new industry. The systems thinking, problem solving, and interdisciplinary nature of the work inspired me to dedicate myself to research. My interests lie in complex systems, network science, and combining AI and medical research.
