Why pursue a Ph.D. in Data Science?
I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Data Science because I believe the future is increasingly data-oriented, and that harnessing this data is likewise an increasingly important task. I hope to utilize the skills and knowledge gained from a Ph.D. in order to develop better (by whatever metric we choose) methods and to apply those methods to real world challenges.
