Pursuing Data Science: Advice and DS Project Demo with Data Scientist Matthew Thomas

Matthew Thomas is currently a data scientist with Inclusively, a technology driven company providing a platform that, “connects job seekers with disabilities, mental health conditions, and chronic illnesses, to inclusive employers committed to providing needed workplace accommodations.” Matthew Thomas is a graduate of the UVA School of Data Science’s Online Masters of Science in Data Science program. He uses machine learning and AI techniques to refine and develop the underlying technology behind Inclusively, in collaboration with other software and web developers.

In this video Matthew gives some practical advice on pursing both and education and a career in Data Science, followed by a brief description of Inclusively and then a real world example of a data science project.
