This summer camp serves chronically ill children ages 7-17, providing a rustic outdoors experience with 24-hour medical care. Volunteers are needed for gardening, landscaping, maintenance, clearing, construction, clerical chores and general labor.

Computers4Kids is a nonprofit after-school technology mentoring program for underserved middle and high school youth. The YMCA offers aerobics for adults and seniors, martial arts for adults and children, and basketball for children. Fees vary by activity. The Y offers a full-time care center for preschool-age children as well as a summer camp and a ski program for youth. It also administers the city swim team. Call for details.

This nonprofit provides qualified professional counseling and other services related to the issues of poverty, child abuse and neglect, marriage and parenting, child care quality, teen runaways and early learning.
The University of Virginia Academic Division operates two child care centers to address the needs of University Faculty, Staff, and Students, UVA Health System, and University-affiliated foundations and contractors. Both centers are NAEYC accredited.
