Youngwoo Kim is a postdoctoral research associate working in the fields of natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence, focusing on the interpretability of large language models.
Prior to joining UVA in 2024, he completed his Ph.D. in computer science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His work lies at the intersection of information retrieval and natural language processing, aiming to enhance large-language model transparency through explainable artificial intelligence, ensuring fairness and accountability in their applications. His research has been published in prestigious conferences and journals in the field, including the ACM Special Interest Group on Information Retrieval, the ACM International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management, and ACM Transactions on Information Systems.
