Sree Mallikarjun is a Lecturer at the School of Data Science and holds a joint appointment with the McIntire School of Commerce as a Visiting Scholar. He is the Chief Data Scientist at Reorg, a global provider of credit intelligence, data and analytics. His research interests include machine learning, natural language processing, operations research, data mining and statistics, finding business solutions, and seeking innovative opportunities from structured and unstructured data.
Prior to teaching at UVA and working at Reorg, Mallikarjun worked as a Data Scientist in Business Intelligence at ALM Media, LLC. He was also a visiting professor at Seoul School of Integrated Sciences and Technologies. Currently, Mallikarjun serves as an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council, which is a collective of invitation-only communities created in partnership with Forbes and the expert community builders who founded Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC). Mallikarjun holds a PH.D. in Engineering Technology and Policy and Innovation from Stony Brook University, an M.S. in Operations Management from Stony Brook University, and B.S. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Osmania University.
