Jenna Ellis brings over 17 years of experience in education, counseling, and student support across K–12, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. She began her career as a middle school teacher and went on to serve as a community college and children’s counselor, as well as supported nonprofit initiatives focused on strengthening teacher pipelines and improving educator retention.
Before joining the School of Data Science, Jenna oversaw admissions and student support for an online master’s program at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education. In this role, she guided working professionals across the country as they pursued graduate study, building extensive expertise in remote engagement and holistic student support.
Jenna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Originally from North Carolina, Jenna is passionate about education, wellness, and creating systems that help people thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
