Holly Stancil has experience in all facets of the recruiting landscape: on-campus recruiter, candidate sourcer, resume screener, hiring manager, and human resources leader. Most recently, she built her own career coaching practice, working with clients to define their goals, communicate their value to employers, and develop a comprehensive job search strategy. She loves preparing job-seekers to tell their story with clarity and confidence through resumes, LinkedIn, networking, and interviews. Holly’s direct industry experience includes the financial services, health care, and nonprofit consulting sectors. Her career coaching clients have ranged from first-time job-seekers to senior executives across a wide variety of fields.
Holly earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a Leadership Coaching certificate from Rice University. She holds an Associate Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She recently completed a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Harvard Extension School; her research interests include motivation, employee engagement, and mitigating bias in recruiting practices.
In addition to being an alum herself, Holly is the wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and mother of proud Hoos. After growing up near Annapolis, MD, she and her extended family have called Charlottesville home for more than 20 years. Holly and her husband are kept busy by their three college-aged kids, two poorly behaved doodles, and one very old farmhouse.
