Fed Cohen

For Fed Cohen, data science and analytics are the lifeblood of his career, and in many ways, of his life. Fed first fell in love with data and analytics in his early years as a stats and econ student at UVA, then joined the technology world at APT. He is now a senior leader at Mastercard -- which some might consider just a credit card company but is actually a technology company with many different businesses serving myriad of client needs. His love for data analysis extends beyond his career to politics, sports, and daily decision making.

Federico “Fed” Cohen Freue is Senior Vice President, Pricing and Investment Strategy at Mastercard, where he leads pricing, revenue planning, and investment management for Mastercard’s Data & Services arm. Mastercard harnesses the power of real-time, anonymized and aggregated transaction data, powerful software platforms, and a wealth of expertise to unlock a holistic view of consumer behavior, distill actionable insights, and help others make more data-driven decisions.

Prior to this role, Fed was Vice President, Product Management, leading operations and commercial strategy for Mastercard’s Test & Learn business globally. He joined through the acquisition of Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), where he led the firm’s Latin America & Caribbean practice.

Over his career, Fed has led engagements with major companies in fifteen countries and developed analytic techniques to optimize promotional and acquisition pricing, call center operations, and capital investments.

Fed graduated from the UVA with a B.S. with Distinction in Applied Statistics and Economics. He’s the current President of the Board of Directors at the Brody Jewish Center.
