The Bryan Lab develops statistical methods to address modern challenges in the natural sciences, including the fields of environmental monitoring, astronomy, and cancer genomics. We study the data generating processes unique to each of these fields, and we use statistical theory to make optimal use of the information contained within them. We emphasize collaboration and curiosity, and we give our students the opportunity to grow as independent thinkers.
Research interest tags: Bayesian statistics, Information-assisted hypothesis testing, Cancer genomics, Optimal transport, Hyperspectral unmixing, Molecular design
