The University

Charlottesville Cardinals

Six local players from the Charlottesville area founded the Charlottesville Cardinals wheelchair basketball team in the beginning of 1980. The squad was created to give disabled athletes a chance to compete and exercise, as well as to raise awareness among the general public about what is possible for people with disabilities.
