UVA's School of Data Science Welcomes Prem Natarajan to Board
The University of Virginia's School of Data Science recently welcomed Prem Natarajan of Capital One to the School's advisory board.
Natarajan joined Capital One in 2023 as chief scientist and head of enterprise AI, where he is managing the company's technology strategy, development, and architecture for enterprise data, machine learning, and analytics initiatives.
Prior to coming to Capital One, Natarajan worked at Amazon, where he served as a vice president in the company's Alexa division. Earlier in his career he worked as chief strategist for Behavior Signal Technologies in the Los Angeles area and spent a decade at the University of Southern California in a variety of roles, including as founding executive director for USC's Computing Forum and as senior vice dean for the Viterbi School of Engineering.
Natarajan received his doctoral and master's degree in electrical engineering from Tufts University, as well as a bachelor's degree in engineering from COEP Technological University.
The board of the School of Data Science advises the School's leadership on a wide range of policy matters.
