Background: B.B.A. Finance, George Washington University, Washington, D.C., 2013; Strategy Analyst, Denver Public Schools (Denver, CO); Corps Member, Teach for America (Washington, D.C.)
Why data science? Through my role as a strategy analyst in a K-12 school district, I learned how critical it was for schools to be able to process large amounts of data to effectively serve their students, and how empowered teachers and principals could become when equipped with the right information.
Research and Career Interests: I am interested in analyzing the effectiveness of marketing programs on consumer behavior through A/B testing. What draws me to data science is the ability to draw valuable insights from big datasets, and I believe this is a key skill for decision makers in any organization.
