MSDS Program Coding Project Demo

Watch a coding project demo that will show you how our rigorous, technical curriculum will allow you to become a leader in the field of data science. You will meet current MSDS Online and MSDS Residential students and be able to ask any questions you have about our program.

Becky Desrosiers, a current MSDS Online student and ambassador, will provide a demo of a semester-long, cumulative project. The class is all about making your coding work ephemeral; if you need to switch computers or open up a new instance, no problem, you can get all your work back in a jiffy. The project includes automating the configuration of an Ubuntu (virtual) machine, setting up a virtual environment with python, and collecting stock data. Becky will walk through the steps outlined in her GitHub repo to setup a new project, including using makefile to quickly iterate through many steps.
